Revisiting the Flower Necklace
I have been working on, but have not finished, the Flower necklace that’s about three photos below this post. I decided that the spiraling wire on each side would simply be too hard to clean, so I am looking at a beading alternative. Plain wire just kills the piece, so until I find the right substitute, this necklace remains on the bench. I will find a way!

Yanked it back off. Don’t question the temperamental artist!

It’s done and called Flower Box Necklace. I just can’t come up with anything better. Flower Patch is cute but sounds like it needs weeding. The crystals look enclosed, hence the box thing. Maybe Flower Cart? I simply hate the word “bouquet”, even though the shape looks like one.
I had to shorten the triangle since I switched to spiraled beads instead of using wire: the beads are shorter than the original spirals. Rats. But when I slipped 2 beads together it was worse: ralph!! the beads didn’t fit together seamlessly and it looked very junky.
Moving along…the beads take much less time and that reduces the price. The look is different since the spiral beads do not have spaces between the “wire” that the original shows, but I had to sacrifice that feature (I liked it). Who knows? This necklace will probably metamorphose into another version like a few other pieces have. I already have an idea….but for now we are going to put this necklace on the site and see how it does there and at the show later this year. Ciao!
