\nCopper with Resin Cosmic Eye Drawing Earrings<\/span><\/div>\n

Your omniscient eye is upon the world with the assistance of these colorful earrings gazing out from your own personal space. For a long time I have made drawings of jewelry with eyes, and these are the first I have rendered. Each drawing features an eye that floats in front of a landscape background of trees, water, clouds and sky. Along the edges a colorful border pattern surrounds.<\/p>\n

\nThe drawings were made with prismacolor pencils, and once set, are protected beneath a layer of clear resin in the shape created by my copper bezels. I am interested in the unique color effects created when heat-treating copper, so while the bezels are polished before soldering, they are not afterward in order to incorporate the beautiful, natural look of this unique, rustic, and natural color effect. <\/div>\n

\nBails and lever back earwires are also copper. These colorful earrings measure about 1.25″ x 2. 5″, and each earring weighs 6g or 0.21oz. Except for the earwires, all conceived and handmade by Shauna Sopel. <\/div>\n
